Chinova Bioworks Receives GRAS Designation in the US
Chinova Bioworks, maker of the natural mushroom chitosan preservative ingredient Chiber™, received its designation as GRAS (Generally Recognized as Safe) by an independent expert panel on October 12, 2018. This designation is based on the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) requirements. The GRAS determination applies exclusively to Chinova Bioworks’ mushroom chitosan preservative, and for specific uses that Chinova Bioworks has designated.
